
Racheal Naggayi Kyaligonza Joins Panel Discussion on ESG Insurance Regulation
Racheal Naggayi Kyaligonza, Head of Financial Operations at Uganda Re, participated in a high-level panel discussion on ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) Insurance Regulation. The discussion was part of the ESG in Insurance Regulation Capacity Building Workshop, an event organized by the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda (IRA UGANDA) and FSD Africa at the Sheraton Hotel, Kampala. During her presentation, Racheal emphasized the growing importance of sustainability in the African reinsurance sector. She highlighted that ESG compliance is now a key factor in attracting business and securing global partnerships. More clients are prioritizing sustainability when selecting business partners, making it a critical element for long-term success in the industry.

Uganda Re Extends Support to Displaced Families in Kiteezi
Uganda Re, led by CEO Ronald Musoke, extended a helping hand to the residents of Kiteezi Camp Site, who were recently displaced by devastating waste slides at the Kiteezi Landfill. In partnership with the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Uganda Re delivered essential relief supplies to aid the affected community during this difficult time. The relief items included clothing, sanitary pads, basins, water jerricans, children's toys and other necessities aimed at helping families rebuild their lives. These supplies serve as a symbol of Uganda Re’s commitment to supporting communities in times of crisis.
