Mr. Jonan Kisakye

Mr. Kisakye represents Uganda Insurers Association on the Board of Uganda Re. He chairs the Technical Committee and is also a member of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee of the same Board.
Mr. Kisakye is the current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the Uganda Insurers' Association (UIA). Prior to this, he was the Deputy Principal (DP) at the Insurance Training College (ITC) Uganda & Head of Training and Research at the Insurance Institute of Uganda (IIU) and ITC. He has over 15 years of experience & expertise in strategy, training, business growth, development & managing partnerships. Jonan is the Chairman of the African Network of Insurers Associations (ANIA), a body that brings together African Insurance Organizations, serves on the Board of Uganda National Chamber of Mines & Petroleum (UCMP) and the Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE). He is the Chairman Technical Working Committee for the Uganda Agriculture Insurance Scheme (UAIS) under the Ministry of Finance Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED), a member of the Financial Markets Development Committee (FMDC) Apex under the Bank of Uganda (BoU) and Secretary, Insurance Consortium for Oil and Gas Uganda (ICOGU).
Mr. Kisakye holds an MBA from Makerere University, Kampala. He is a Chartered Member of both the Insurance Training College (ITC) Uganda and the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), UK - ACIl and an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) - ACSI
