18th RCTG Carnet Council Meeting in Bujumbura
Our CEO, Ronald Musoke, recently participated in the 18th meeting of the Council of Regional Customs Transit Guarantee (RCTG Carnet) held in Bujumbura, Burundi. As the outgoing Chairman of the Council of Bureau, Ronald has played a pivotal role in driving key initiatives throughout 2024, strengthening regional customs collaboration and fostering trade facilitation across member states.
The meeting also marked a significant milestone as Uganda Re – National Surety of Uganda concluded its term as Council Chair for 2024. This achievement underscores Uganda’s commitment to enhancing customs transit systems and supporting economic integration within the region.
As part of the leadership transition, Ronald Musoke stepped down as Chairman and was elected Vice Chairman of the Council for the coming year. With this, Burundi will assume the role of Chair for 2025, ushering in a new phase of leadership aimed at further strengthening regional trade frameworks.
